We follow a pod of whales that hunts individuals, particularly the infamous “Toby Wick,” who is said to terrify the oceans. Toby Wick is a monster whom no one has ever truly seen. Despite being brief, the narrative is not engaging.
As for the whales, I simply couldn’t form a connection or even relate, but I had little sympathy for them because of the few emotions they displayed throughout the story.
However, the illustrations and the cover were more interesting to me than the plot. the dark illustrations were on point and a feast for the eyes!
therefore; 2/5 for the story plus 1.5/5 for the illustrations.
