Walden - Book Review

Originally published in 1854, Walden; or, Life in the Woods is a vivid account of the time that Henry D. Thoreau lived alone in a secluded cabin at Walden Pond.

Categories: Non-Fiction, Philosophy, and Nature.

Walden felt like looking for a keyhole of Henry David Thoreau’s life and his philosophic ways and thoughts. Reading this book makes one realize how one can live in simplicity but instead enlighten me on how we’d rather live in intricacy, and learn to pause life and appreciate the world and creatures around us.

However, at some point in the book, I could not able to relate which made me think “Wait, what?”. There are a few inspiring sayings and examples that I did love that made wanna recommend this book to some specific “people” to get them to see and try to understand life now from a 1800s ′s human’s point of view.

Overall, this book pulled me into the woods, and simplicity in nature reflects back. My rating will be 4/5 ⭐️
