THE BOOK OF ICHIGO ICHIE - BOOK REVIEW

Learn to make every moment a once-in-a-lifetime experience with this definitive guide to the Japanese art of Ichigo Ichie, from the bestselling authors of Ikigai. ‘Ikigai urges individuals to simplify their lives by pursuing what sparks joy for them’ -Marie Kondo, a Japanese consultant.

Every moment in our life happens only once, and if we let it slip away, we lose it forever-an an idea captured by the Japanese phrase Ichigo Ichie. From this age-old concept comes a new kind of mindfulness. In The Book of Ichigo Ichie, you will learn to use all five senses to anchor yourself in the present. Every one of us contains a key that can open the door to attention, harmony with others, and love of life. And that key is Ichigo Ichie.

As I always read novels and fiction stories but somehow this book had grabbed my attention while browsing through my local bookstore and thought that this book looked interesting (judging by the title and cover) - so I bought it.

The Book of Ichigo Ichie is a self-help, non-fiction, and philosophy book.

while reading this (without spoilers), I did not get bored reading but it was very calming and inspiring. It taught me a few things that enlightened me and made me realize how I view the world around me, how to be present and be an opportunist, and ultimately find and understand my purpose.  At the end of this book, it motivated me to be more productive as well as work on my hobbies.

overall, I totally loved the book and it is a short but good reminder of tips to live in the present and celebrate life and imperfections!

my rating will be 5/5⭐️ and I 100% recommend it !!

thank you for reading this far <3
