Fairest and Baddest

Finally, I have been able to read and read for my pleasure, not for university!

so I was able to finish:

Fairest: The Lunar Chronicles’ Levana’s Story by Marissa Meyer

Categories: Young Adult, Retellings, Dystopia, and Sci-Fi.

‘Pure evil has a name, hides behind a mask of deceit, and uses her “glamour” to gain power. But who is Queen Levana? Long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress in The Lunar Chronicles, Levana lived a very different story–a story that has never been told … until now.’

So starting this one, I had high expectations as to how Levana became the villain. It was interesting to read and kept me wanting more (sadly) but it did give me more.

On some pages, I was confused as to how and why these turns of events - like some of the events do not add up! it got me investing more into the secondary characters rather than the main character.

Honestly, expected the ending to be much more epic and eventful with so many emotions and drama - but I also did not expect it to end just like that (I was disappointed when the next page of the acknowledgments!).

⭐3/5; events and emotions were not there and they were missed. overall, it is a pretty decent basic story.
